Later changed to a K. Most people would believe these cancels to have been used onboard trains, and that is correct. However, some cancels have also been used at the Bureau d'échange, which would handle both regular mail, parcel post, money orders, and administrative services pertaining to issues dealing with foreign mail.
The units onboard trains were later on called Bureau ambulant to distinguish them from the Bureau at the Kristiania PO. This sounds clumsy, and it shure was back then too. (Hits: 724)
